EQUIPPING - Ministries

Bible Studies
At our Wednesday Night Life Group we discuss the sermon and scriptures that was preached from the Sunday before. This is a good opportunity to dig a little deeper into the scriptures and to hear and express what God is saying to us.

New Commandment Men's Ministry

This is a group of men who meet on the third Saturday of each month. They meet at the church for breakfast and then go out and help one of our single mom's or widows with any chores/construction that may need to be done in and around their homes.
If you know of someone who could benefit from this ministry please contact Don Smith or Brian Chapman through the Contact Us link.

HeBrews Coffee Ministry

We have volunteers who provide pastries for this time. If you would like to volunteer be sure contact the church office.

Worship Team
Our Worship Team works very hard each week to bring songs to the congregation that uplift, inspire and bring you into the presence of Jesus.

Life Group Ministry - Doing Life Together
This Ministry helps our church  grow  larger  and  smaller at the  same time  by giving us the  closeness of  a well-  knitted  community.
Life Groups are usually not  conducted  in the church  sanctuary but in  member's homes, restaurants, or in  different rooms in the church  building.
They are not meant to take away from Sunday morning worship, but to deepen your walk with Christ, as you grow closer to fellow believers. (This ministry is not meeting at this time. If you have a heart for this kind of ministry please contact the church office.)

Christian Counseling
YCC offers Christ-centered  Christian  counseling for   those who may be going through situations in their life   and need  to talk with someone. Our counseling office is located in Quintech, a multi-purpose building next to our church. Don  Smith, our Pastor, is our counselor and  is available by appointment. If you feel you need his help, be sure to contact the church office. Also, his cell number is located in the web page titled Staff & Elders.

Nursery Ministry

Our babies are very important to us. In Proverbs 22:6, God  tells us, "Train up a  child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." This is what we believe and this is what we seek to do.
If you would like to help, please contact the  church office.

Children's Ministry

Our Children's Ministry is fun and exciting for children ages 5 though 11 years old. They meet while the adults are in Worship Service every Sunday. They are taught by the Chapman's and the Koolstra's. The kids will sometimes watch a Bible based movie, work on crafts, sing songs; whatever they are doing, they are learning about the love of the Lord.

Christ and Coffee - Teen Ministry

This Ministry is for teens from 6th grade to 12th grade. Each Sunday the youth will meet in our fellowship hall at 9:00am for breakfast and devotions. The Ministry is led by the Koolstra's, Heather Bledsoe and Christopher Rouse.

Prison Ministry Team

Our Prison Ministry Team is lead by Norah Sanchez and Shawna Tribelhorn. We partner with the Chaplain and Prayer for Prisoners International, at the Sterling Correctional Facility. We go to the prison every 3 months to minister to the inmates with worship music and Don preaches from the Word. We pray for the inmates with any request they may have. We also meet in November to sign Christmas cards for prisoners who are incarcerated all over the United States. If you would like to be a part of this ministry please contact us.

Orphan Ministry

This ministry started when someone in our congregation read about the orphaned girls and boys in Moldova, We send someone from this ministry to the CAFO (Christian Alliance for the Orphan) Conference every year to find new ways to help the orphan. Also, this ministry team hosts an Orphan Sunday every November. If you would like to help with this ministry, be sure to contact us.

Haitian Ministry
Doug Dix is our Ministry Leader. Doug travels to Haiti once a year to help with the Fairs Evangelizing Haitian Mission. Doug helps with the building of churches and homes for the Haitian people. If you would like to donate to this ministry please contact the church office.
